As an instructor I can say the most important part of education is gleaning from someone's personally
established experiences. These are the things that cannot be taught in books. One of the things I've
appreciated from Sherry's course were her rich stories. This wasn't just a book-learning experience. It
was well-rounded a positive learning environment. You'll feel that you've reached a safe environment
where you are encouraged and free to laugh as you learn.

Last year, I completed the Basic Hypnotist, Master Hypnotist and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist courses
offered by Pacific Institute of Advanced Hypnotherapy. Both the course and the instruction exceeded my
expectations. Sherry Hood is an excellent teacher whose dedication and passion for the art of
hypnotherapy are shared and communicated to her students. She also draws on her experience which is
diverse and extensive and spans a period of over a decade. During that time she has assisted patients
with everything from painless child birth to clarity, peace and pain management during transition in a
hospice setting. As a result of her experience, study and research, I have been given excellent skills and
knowledge in hypnotherapy.
Incorporated into the course is the opportunity to practice hypnotherapy on guest clients. This is so
valuable, as once the skills have been obtained, practice is imperative.
I would not hesitate to recommend this school to either someone starting out in the field or a health
professional who would like to augment their practice with the skill of hypnotherapy.
The curriculum is top notch as is the professionalism of Sherry Hood. The quality of instruction is second

Hood is a delightful educator who makes learning fun and easy. She builds confidence in her students with

sources ,including some of the foremost doctors in the field, over a 10 year period. Nevertheless the art of
hypnotherapy still eluded me and it was only when I attended Sherry Hood’s school, The Pacific Institute
of Advanced Hypnotherapy, that the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place. Sherry is an excellent
teacher, her teachings are informative and interesting and the videos fascinating. In addition, the practical
aspect of working with volunteer clients was invaluable as was the opportunity to experience hypnosis

can be applied to. Through the 160 hours of instruction I gained confidence in my ability to be a
